As CEO of an International Solar Energy Company

He provided complete solar solutions throughout Africa using state-of-the-art technology to plan, design, install, and maintain the most reliable solar electricity.

As CEO, his accomplishments included:

  • The development of exceptional business proposals, bid documents, and other financial documentation.
  • The management of company staff, including a pool of outside contractors of about 20 company staff and six separate contractors of approximately 80 employees.
  • The establishment and management of the company's marketing team and the implementation of the firm logistics for traveling throughout Uganda while facilitating cost savings during travel.
  • The management of exporting and importing of all company goods and worked with the Ugandan government to reduce bureaucratic obstacles.
  • Interfacing with and managing all international solar suppliers and addressing defects and noncompliance.
  • The negotiation of 10 framework contracts.

As a Worldwide Diplomat, Director/Chief of Operations

As Director/Chief of Operations and International Affairs for the U.S. Department of State, he led all operations and financial management initiatives as well as all administrative functions to deliver leading-edge technology in 60+ embassies while managing more than 200 staff and administering budgets of more than $6.5M.

As a Diplomat, his responsibilities included:

  • Directing the entire Human Resources, General Services, Information Management, and Health Unit functionality.
  • Managing employee retirement funds and disbursed funds as appropriate.
  • Serving as Lead Information Management Officer accountable for establishing up-to-date communication infrastructures, negotiating with host government officials, and securing necessary credentials for operations.
  • Executing IT projects to modernize communications throughout Africa, Mexico, and the Philippines.

His key accomplishments as a U.S. Diplomat included:

  • The creation and implementation of the first wireless systems for 15–20 African embassies.
  • Alleviating difficulties for U.S. embassies and other countries worldwide by negotiating successfully with host governments on management and communications issues.
